So, the cat ears with Watson in the bottom sketch is just referring to the fact that Watson is as cute as a box of kittens (Riley may have possibly mentioned that to Sherlock which led to him testing this theory by dressing Watson up like a cat )

The top one, again, is another reference to the Hobbit because I am soooo super psyched for it!!
